Race Details

Rules: No scooters, bikes and handcycles are to be taken onto the course. Prams and wheelchairs are permitted, however, please ensure to seed yourself at the back and be aware of your surrounds so that you do not obstruct runners.

What’s included in the entry fee? Your entry fee includes your race bib (cut off for personalised bibs 7 July) and timing tag, on course nutrition, post race recovery and finishers medal.

Choose the start position that is the right fit for your predicted fitness level.

For slower runners, joggers or walkers, it is important to be in the correct starting spot. Seed yourself among the starting group as the race will be a mass start.

Your time will not be affected in any way as the timing chip will only record your time from when you cross the start mats to the finish line mats. This will allow you to enjoy the event at your own pace and provide you with the best possible end result.

Course Details

The Yeppoon Running Festival 5km is a delightful out-and-back course that showcases the charm of Yeppoon’s coastal landscape in a shorter, family-friendly distance. Starting on Anzac Parade, with the ocean glittering beside you, this course is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels.

Heading off from the starting line, you’ll pass the vibrant Yeppoon Lagoon, a favourite local landmark. The course continues over the tranquil Fig Tree Creek, surrounded by the lush greenery of mangroves, before joining Appleton Drive and crossing Ross Creek.

With the sea breeze keeping you energised, you’ll pass Poplar Street as you near the turnaround point.

Retracing your steps, the return journey brings you back along the same beautiful route, offering another chance to soak in the seaside scenery and the lively atmosphere.

The course finishes back at Anzac Parade, where a welcoming crowd and the satisfaction of crossing the finish line await.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, enjoying a leisurely run, or simply soaking up the coastal beauty, this 5km course is a perfect way to experience the spirit of the Yeppoon Running Festival.

• Male and Female 5km – Trophy + Cash prize of $150
• 2nd Male and Female – Trophy + Cash prize of $80

Category Winners:

• 1st in each category receives a winner medal (this is in addition to your race finisher medal) and a $40 voucher for ProFeet
• Categories are: U/15, 15-19, 20-29,  30-39, 40-49,  50-59, 60-69, 70+
