Why is it important for Aussie Gold to support community events like this one?

We have been so supported by our local community first, and we love to give back. We have recently pulled back from sponsoring larger events (like the Rocky River Run) as we want to focus our support on helping to grow grassroots events and smaller clubs where our donation makes a real difference.

What does it mean to your team to see your product refreshing runners at the finish line?

Yeah it means everything. This is what we stand for, health, hydration & happiness 😊.

For those who may not know Aussie Gold yet, tell us a little bit about your brand and what makes your water special.

Ok, so my father started this business in 1994. He was a service engineer at the mines and wanted to be home more with the family. Dad (Trevor), marketed, bottled, delivered, cleaned and financed everything. He is 82 years old now and still works three shifts a week on the production line. My brother (David) and I have owned the business for the last 15 years or so, and we’ve added our own modern touches like, automated deliveries, online ordering, SMS reminders, targeted marketing and fleet expansion. Not to mention our latest product – our very own Aussie Gold ICE.

Where is your spring located, and what sets your water apart from others on the market?

Well for one, we source our water from a single source, located right here on our family property on Adelaide Park Road. Where other bottlers may need to truck in water from several sources and blend it, then use reverse osmosis (google it, it’s not good), our water is simply filtered, UV light exposed and bottled. Simple and refreshing. Natural and hydrating.

Do you support other local or regional events?

Absolutely, we are intentional about sponsoring in all of our delivery areas. We do gymnastics in Moranbah, fight clubs in Emerald, tennis in Mackay & Gladstone and of course the famous SBC Rodeo right here in Yeppoon, 2km from our bottling plant. Our hydration programmes also provide clean drinking water to the Rockhampton homeless, and right out to Woorabinda.

Ventou has been a proud supporter of the YRF over the past 9 years. We love supporting community events, and it’s great to be a part of the YRF, a fantastic professionally run event in every aspect, which we are looking to continue our support of for many years to come.
